That was the first sentence I heard when I got aboard of the ship in Lisbon which started my life-changing Pirate journey. I have to say right at the beginning that I had high expectations about the Pirates@Lisboa. However, the whole week was just one splendid experience which was way beyond all my expectations. We started off with welcoming and teambuilding sessions where we got to know each other better. Honestly, I was shocked by the enthusiasm, variety and Pirate drive of all attendees. Then, we had fewworkshops about trends, innovation or how to do a pitch, which I found extremely interesting since there was a lot of interaction which deepend the knowledge of the topics. It went on in a similar manner during the rest of the week. Extremely helpful were ask your mentor sessionssince we were able to consult our projects with experts from variaety of backgrounds. By the end of the days, when we had almost no energy left the inspirational talks motivated us not to give up and continue working.
Besides, there was a lot of chill-out activities like traditional dances session, treasure hunt, having dinner in a very tipical portuguese restaurant or visiting famous bars. Oh, I would almost forget we always had enough good coffee (important!), redbulls, fruit and other snacks on hand so we could happily enjoy all the time and don´t care about anything.
Long story short, Pirates@Lisboa was one of my best weeks I´ve ever experienced. My aim is to bring the same (or even better) spirit to Slovakia. Making it unforgettable for you guys!
